Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary We document whether, how, and to what extent states meet federal work requirements for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program and forecast states' compliance with work requirements under the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023. To do so, we tie data from reports submitted to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that we collected to publicly available state-level administrative caseload and expenditure data from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
