This project examines whether people have an intrinsic preference for negatively skewed or positively
skewed information structures and how these preferences relate to intrinsic preferences
for informativeness. It reports results from 5 studies (3 lab experiments, 2 online studies).

Methodology
Sampling:

Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 included University of Michigan students who signed up to participate in the study. Experiment 3 included University of Michigan and University of Massachusetts students who signed up to participate in the study. All participants were 18 or older. The Alzheimer's survey was fielded on the Prolific and Amazon MTurk platforms and targeted individuals who listed English as their first language and were older than 40 years. The IQ Test study was fielded on the Amazon MTurk platform and targeted adults who are U.S. residents.
